After the resignation of Jonathan Bartley as Co-Leader the Green Party are holding an election to chose new leaders. Our party's leaders hold an important role in presenting our policies and strategy to the public, and we want to give our members a chance to hear directly from the candidates.
With the pandemic bringing the inequalities that will be enacted on our young people into sharp focus it's more important than ever that we have our say about the future. The Greens have always led the way on youth and student issues and it's important to have a leadership that will continue to do so.
That's why we're hosting hustings so that Young Greens can put questions to the leadership candidates and find out why they think Young Greens should vote for them.
We have invited all leadership candidates to attend this event. This form will be updated when we hear who will be attending.
- Shahrar Ali: Confirmed
- Ashley Gunstock: Confirmed
- Carla Denyer and Adrian Ramsay: Adrian attending
- Martin Hemingway and Tina Louise Rothery
- Amelia Womack and Tamsin Omond: Confirmed
We'll be asking the candidates a mixture of pre-submitted questions and those asked on the night. If you'd like to submit a question please write it in the box on the form.
This event is open to any members of the Green Party who wish to attend, however we will be prioritising Young Green questions. We will not be streaming the event via twitch due to technical complications. As at all of our events the Young Greens Safe Spaces policy will be in force for those who attend the zoom event.
