Just 1 hour of your time on Thursday May 4th = more Green Exeter Councillors!

Can you give 1 hour on May 4th ?

Every year, many voters, including Green voters,  don’t get around to voting on election day.  Because we are very close to winning in some wards, those missing votes are critical.

So we are running an operation over the whole of election day, Thursday May 4th, to make sure our voters actually turn out to vote for us. To do that, we’ll need as many volunteers as possible. Just an hour of your time could make all the difference.

FACT: for undecided voters - and there are a lot of them -  a call by a friendly person
on election day can be the thing that makes them decide to vote Green

What help is needed?

Calling on our Green voters

From 9.30am to around 7.00pm, groups of volunteers walk around knocking on the doors of people we know have said they will vote Green, to politely ask if they have voted yet. It’s a brief, friendly call, done in a fun, supportive atmosphere. No experience is necessary as it’s very simple and you won’t be on your own. Volunteers join in as and when they can, it's all very flexible. And we have plenty of pitstops for drinks and chat - it's quite the party atmosphere!

Providing comfort station houses for volunteers

Some volunteers will be walking for hours around streets with no public loos. If you live in Newtown, St Leonards, Heavitree or St Davids and are willing to have our volunteers pop in to use your loo and refill water bottles, that would be a real service.

Any time you can give, at any time of the day or evening on May 4th is hugely valuable – just an hour counts. If you can take a bit of time off work so you can give a block of time, that would be amazing.
