Restore all aspects of the Voting Rights Act!

When the Voting Rights Act was initially passed in 1965 as a result of the historic march from Montgomery to Selma, Alabama, it ended literacy tests, poll taxes, and voting restrictions and added oversight to states with a history rooted in voter suppression.

But the Supreme Court’s 2013 ruling stripped away this oversight, allowing for state and local governments to enact new changes without federal approval -- and allowing them to close polling sites at their own discretion.

We need to take action. Add your name right now and demand Congress restore all aspects of the Voting Rights Act >>>
