• Call Governor Greitens at: (573) 751-3222

• It is a waste of taxpayer money. This is the second special session called by the governor in this recess alone. The last special session cost taxpayers an estimated $67,000.

• It is being justified by misinformation. Governor Greitens justified special session in a statement, saying “Politicians are trying to make it illegal, for example, for pro-life organizations to say that they just want to hire pro-life Missourians.” In reality, the St Louis bill he is targeting protects women from discrimination on the basis of their personal medical and reproductive choices, not their political views. • It has the appearance of a PR stunt. Governor Greitens appeared in three rallies across Missouri on Friday in support of the session, with flights paid for by the dark money organization A New Missouri. Greitens has been criticized before for prioritizing his own political trajectory over the needs of Missourians, and his Friday appearance with Mike Huckabee was his second with a conservative celebrity from out-of-state in as many weeks, following his May 30 appearance with Scott Walker.
