Ban plastic, protect our oceans

Dear California State Leaders,

So much of our plastic waste comes from single-use containers, food ware, packaging and the other plastic “stuff” we know we could easily live without. Because it can take hundreds of years to degrade, all of that plastic waste is still out there in some form, clogging landfills, littering our streets, polluting our oceans and beaches, and harming marine life like turtles and seabirds.

That’s why we’re working to get our state leaders to pass comprehensive policy to reduce plastic pollution by 75%!!

A few years ago we were the group that passed California’s plastic bag ban and got the UCs to commit to phase out plastics! So we know we can take that to the next level and get our whole state to take action.
