A Coliseum for Us All: Survey for City Residents About What YOU Want to See at the Coliseum Redevelopment

The Oakland Coliseum is an important part of Oakland’s history. For over half a century, it has been a mainstay in the lives of Oakland residents. The Oakland Coliseum is a place where tradition, pride for our city, and a true sense of community have been fostered for decades. Now, we have the opportunity to shape the Coliseum’s future. We must ensure that the development of the Coliseum site brings joy, opportunity, and stability to impacted communities surrounding the Coliseum, including working families, longtime residents, youth, and seniors in East Oakland.
Please fill out the survey and let us know what YOU think is important for a proposed Coliseum development.
Oakland United is a long-standing coalition of Oakland residents, workers, labor unions, community organizations, youth & faith groups that has been engaged in the Coliseum development proposals since 2015. Our coalition will negotiate with the prospective owner of the Coliseum, the African American Sports & Entertainment Group (AASEG), to create a comprehensive Community Benefits Agreement for the development. Through strong community benefits, this project can transform the lives of Oakland residents by providing meaningful economic opportunities, housing stability, and environmental safeguards.
We are committed to prioritizing the voices of East Oakland and other city residents by ensuring that we hear directly from you. This project has the potential to reinvigorate Oakland’s economy and provide housing, while centering impacted community voices.
The Oakland United Coalition wants to ensure that we hear from YOU and other Oaklanders about what the project should include to really benefit local Oakland residents, families, and communities. Please fill out this survey form now!
