Add your name: Demand that Congress protects arts funding, PBS and NPR

On Tuesday, unpopular President Donald Trump released his budget for the Federal government for the fiscal year 2018. The National Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities (NEA and NEH) as well as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (PBS) would be closed down entirely by this budget.

Trump wants to shrink federal government spending by eliminating "waste" to free up money for increased military spending and handing out tax breaks to his rich buddies.

Cutting these arts programs will save a whopping 0.016 percent of the total United States budget, less money than it costs to shuttle Trump and his family around the world for the next few years.
