Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore is under fire for having sexually assaulted teenage girls. The stories are credible, and have been widely corroborated.
Many Republicans withdrew their support for Moore in the December 12th special election, but it is extremely disturbing how many continue to stand by him.
Donald Trump even said: "[Moore] denies it, so I believe him" and "we don't need a liberal Democrat in that seat."
This was not some rank-and-file Republican. This was the President of the United States, the titular head of the Grand Old Party.
He believes a child sex offender is better than letting a Democrat win one U.S. Senate seat.
This is offensive on so many levels. We must not let Republicans get away with this, and we must make sure they pay the price politically.
