Afaan Oromo Speaking Organizers

Amane Badhasso is running for Congress and she needs your help!

A key part of our plan is to engage the Afaan Oromo speaking community in Minnesota.

In order to do that it requires three things.

1) Build as large of a list as possible of Oromos living in Minnesota, with names and phone numbers.

2) Figure out where people live, whether they are in our district.

3) Support and make sure they can participate in the process of voting on February 1.

To do this, we need organizers to speak Afaan.

We will train you on our app/website that we use to track names and contact information. We will give you a list of community members to keep in touch with. Every week or so, we want you to reach out and talk with them and build a relationship. Ultimately, it will be your job to make sure they show up to the caucus. We will figure out where they need to go, whether they need a ride, connect them with a translator, etc.

Can we count on you? Fill out this form about how much time you can spend helping us, and based on that we will figure out how big of a list to give you. We estimate that on average, this project will take 2-3 hours per week.
