Democratic Leaders,

The American people are watching. And right now, many of us are disappointed.

At a time when the stakes could not be higher, we see a Democratic Party that hesitates, compromises when it should fight, and fails to meet the urgency of the moment.

Democratic favorability ratings have hit a record low of 29%. Americans are tired of Democrats standing by while MAGA pushes its extreme agenda. Every day, Donald Trump and Elon Musk fire more federal employees, threaten healthcare access for millions, and take alarming steps toward authoritarian rule.

We understand Republicans hold power, but that does not excuse inaction. When Democrats have an opening, we must seize it.

Moments like Friday—when there was a real chance to act—are what define leadership. On that day, the Senate approved a Republican-led funding bill to avert a government shutdown, with support from Schumer and nine other Democrats. This bill granted more flexibility to the Trump administration in carrying out their reckless downsizing in government departments and programs

We need bold action. We need Democrats to fight back and defend our values—not just in words, but in results.

Time is running out. Step up or risk losing the support of those who need you to fight the hardest.
