As the official youth and student branch of the Green Party, we aim to harness the energy and ideas of young people, and change the direction of our society towards a radically just and ecosocialist future. We know that the cost of living crisis has brought to light the failings of 12 years of Tory rule, from underfunding public services, to suppressing workers demanding a decent wage, to refusing to address the climate crisis we are beginning to experience. Elections Officer
Key responsibilities:
- Leading on our strategy for the 2022 May elections, and mobilising our members to help get Greens elected locally, as well as starting to look ahead to the next General Election!
- Working with our elected Young Green Councillors to promote and support their incredible work.
- Supporting and connecting Young Green candidates standing in key target and development seats in the local elections.
- Working with our team to devise and deliver a radical political programme and youth manifesto for the upcoming elections.
What we're looking for:
- A passion for Green politics and a shared view that social and environmental justice are intrinsically linked.
- An understanding of local election campaigns and a knack for mobilising and inspiring volunteers.
