Become a Dues-Paying Member of Bozeman Tenants United

Bozeman Tenants United is building a multi-racial, intergenerational mass membership of tenants, to win safe, dignified and truly affordable housing for all.

Bozeman Tenants United is a dues-paying-member-lead tenant union This keeps us accountable to our dues paying members rather than philanthropists. Our dues paying membership votes on our budget, strategy, and direct the union. Union dues go to paying for union expenses that allow us to organize tenants and build power.

Dues are $10 per month. If you have the means, you can pay more. If you are on a fixed income you can pay $5 a month.

Members commit to our Principles:

  1. We are more powerful together than as individuals.

  2. We embrace our differences and don’t make assumptions about one another--about race, gender, sexuality, mental or physical ability, or ANYTHING else.

  3. We believe in resourcing ourselves, making organizing accessible, and meeting each other’s needs to do the work.

  4. We are a leaderful union. Anyone can become a leader who has personal stake in the work, does the work, and is accountable to the collective.

  5. We believe tension is good and that it helps us grow.

  6. We believe feedback is a gift. We give it intentionally and receive it openly.

  7. We take our time and our organizing seriously.

  8. We believe that we will win!
