Low estimates tell us that over 30,000 Palestinians have been murdered in Israel's horrific assault on Gaza, and millions of people have been displaced, injured, and starved. We have watched our government support ethnic cleansing: Israel bombing hospitals, cutting off food, water, and electricity to Gaza.

Israel’s far-right Government, led by Prime Minister Netanyahu, has looked for a reason to annihilate Gaza, and October 7, 2023's attack was the excuse. Prior to the Hamas attack, genocidal Zionist Netanyahu had overseen the deadliest year in Palestine since the Second Intifada ended in 2005, enabling Israel's armed forces to violently expel Palestinians from their homes. The United States has sent billions of taxpayer dollars to Israel for decades, as well as the weapons they use to brutalize an oppressed population. Now, Israel's armed forces, aided and abetted by the United States, are committing a historic atrocity.

In February 2023, DSA chapters urged Michigan voters to vote “uncommitted” in their state’s Democratic presidential primary to show their solidarity with Palestine and demand a ceasefire in Gaza - and 100,000 people did. Hundreds of thousands have now already cast protest primary votes in Colorado, Minnesota, Washington - and more will follow.

In New York, we have closed primaries and cannot vote "Uncommitted," but blank ballots submitted by registered Democrats are counted and reported out. This means our way to join the movement is by racking up as many blank spoiler ballots as we can. Working people who demand a permanent ceasefire are standing together in America.

Biden is on track to lose the election to Trump unless he chooses to listen to the working class of this country and change course: end support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza and push for a permanent ceasefire! Take this pledge to join with other Americans who want an alternative.
