Boycott the US Grant Hotel
On June 8, 2023, UNITE HERE Local 30 requested a fair process for workers at the US Grant Hotel to organize a union. The management company, Marriott Hotels, ignored the request. It has been our experience that most hospitality workers prefer union representation over dealing with their employers individually. They are often reluctant to get involved in union organizing efforts, however, out of fear of retaliation.
Workers at the US Grant Hotel deserve a fair process free of intimidation and retaliation to decide if they wish to form a union, to negotiate for fair wages, benefits, and working conditions. UNITE HERE Local 30 believes the US Grant Hotel should reconsider its decision to ignore the request for a card check agreement.
UNITE HERE Local 30 is calling for a boycott of the U.S. Grant Hotel and is urging all customers to not eat, sleep, or meet at the hotel. Anyone hosting an event should move their business immediately. For future bookings use FairHotel.org.
