The California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative (www.cahealthynailsalons.org) was established in 2005 with the mission to enhance the health, safety, and rights of the nail salon workforce. We are a statewide coalition consisting of 25 organizations, united in our efforts to promote sustainable, just, and dignified working conditions, products, and services within the beauty care industry.

Given that a significant proportion of manicurists in California are low-income, Vietnamese women of childbearing age, our approach to organizing is informed by an intersectional perspective. We recognize and address the complex interplay between labor and economic justice, reproductive justice, and immigrant rights.

Among the topics we will address is the impact of the Integrated Voter Engagement program, which has been instrumental in garnering support from registered voters for our health and safety movement. Together, we aim to collect pledges that will enable us to provide much-needed assistance to our communities.
