We are urging all parliamentary candidates during this election to sign this pledge to say they back the campaign to Defend the right to strike and will ensure if elected they will lobby Government to see the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Act 2023 and other anti-union legislation repealed.

The Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Act 2023 means employers have the ability to issue 'work notices', forcing workers to break their own strikes.

This is the latest law in a long line of anti-union laws, which has left us with some of the most restrictive labour laws in Europe.

Councils, Governments and Headteachers have already condemned this legislation, with Sheffield City Council, and both the Scottish & Welsh Government all stating they will refuse to implement it in their areas.

As a result of this growing campaign around non-compliance, Strike Map has partnered with with the Campaign For Trade Union Freedom (CTUF) to launch our Defend the right to strike campaign - write to your council action, to encourage more councils to reject these laws.
