Chicago DSA Skills, Interests, & Activism Survey
This survey will help identify the areas within Chicago DSA that best match your interests, skills, and resources. Whatever place we can help you find in Chicago DSA, it's a place that that you're uniquely qualified to fill.
Building a mass movement doesn't mean that we all have to or should do everything. Instead, we can all use our unique knowledge, experiences, and connections in different ways to collaboratively build our movement. When each of us effectively connects to the issues and work we want to do, and can do so with the time and energy we have available, we can build Chicago DSA to be a stronger organization than the sum of its parts.
There's a place for you in Chicago DSA, whatever your unique skill set and prior experience with socialist work may be. We also know that skills come from many places, not just a classroom or on the job. You'll have lots of opportunities to sharpen your tools and acquire new ones in Chicago DSA, so don't be afraid to check a box and tell "imposter syndrome" to take a hike.
We're happy to have you, whether you want Chicago DSA to be your organizing home or if you do most of your organizing elsewhere and want to connect with us to strengthen ties across the city. There are just as many opportunities for experienced canvassers as there are for people more at home in data analysis, visual design, or hanging shelves.
Please note: Your identifying information and responses are kept strictly confidential and will not be shared outside of Chicago DSA.
