Training in Community Leadership and Organising
We have traditionally run leadership training courses at three levels. Most of our training consists of short workshops and 1- or 2-day Citizens UK Local Taster Trainings delivered in the community. If you are part of a Citizens UK member institution, ask your local Community Organiser for details of Taster Training courses in your area.
For those who have completed a Local Taster Training we offer Citizens UK Regional Community Leadership Training. This is a three-day residential or non-residential course, followed by a 50 hour practical placement in your community, and an end-of-placement presentation at a Regional Learning Network event. The Regional Community Leadership Training is run in five regions: the North of England; the Midlands; Wales & the South West; London; and the Southern Ring (around London).
For those who have completed Regional Community Leadership Training we offer Citizens UK National Community Leadership Training. This is a six-day residential course, followed by a 50 hour practical placement in your community, and an end-of-placement presentation at a Regional Learning Network event. This course is accredited by Newman University as a Professional Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership.
