Climate Change is already having a detrimental impact on global health – with 7 million premature deaths a year due to pollution - around 40,000 deaths directly attributed to air pollution in the UK alone, the increasing impact on food systems from extreme weather and other indirect consequences.

Our NHS is already under strain from decades of underfunding and coping with Covid – we must ensure it remains publicly owned and invested in to cope with climate change stresses.
