Cooperate for Canada Voting Pledge for Provinces and Territories

The multiple crises we face require effective action to address them.

Cooperate for the sake of Future Generations The differences between the policies of the individual progressive Parties are small compared to the differences between the progressive Parties and the Conservative parties across Canada. Under our current ‘first past the post’ voting system - despite a minority of votes being cast for Conservative Candidates - the splitting of the progressive vote between two or more Parties has resulted in Conservatives winning many seats in both federal and provincial elections. History has shown that Conservative-led governments' policies and legislation do little or nothing to address the multiple crises that Canadians face. For this reason, upcoming elections must not be 'business as usual'. It is urgent for the progressive Parties and voters to set aside partisanship and work together.

Make the Pledge By signing this pledge you are making a promise to vote for the Unity Candidate* or the progressive Candidate best positioned to defeat the Conservative candidate in your riding**.

*The Unity Candidate is the Candidate who has the best chance of defeating the Conservatives Candidate - identified by the leaders of progressive Parties or local Riding Associations, acting in collaboration.

**Use the most recent polling data to determine which progressive Candidate has the best chance of defeating the Conservative Candidate. Polling data is available for every riding in Canada on 338Canada.com, an independently owned site created and managed by Philippe J. Fournier. The data is updated on an ongoing basis.
