The majority of Delawareans can’t take paid time off to care for a family member with a serious illness, address a serious illness themselves, or welcome a new child. Even more are unable to take paid time off to address the impact of domestic violence or a family member's military deployment. For many people who can’t afford to miss a paycheck, that means they have to choose between their job and their family.
