As you may be aware, after we finish up our contracts we run an election for the Local Union offices of the President, Vice President, Secretary and 5-Seat Executive Board of Local 919. There are various laws and constitutional rules we have to follow in this elections process, one of which is that we need an Elections Committee to run and oversee the nominations and ballot-casting process. We are seeking volunteers to serve on that Committee.

To be on the Elections Committee, you cannot run for Local 919 office and you must be a member in good standing. Volunteers on the Elections Committee will need to have 1-3 meetings to plan the election and nomination processes, and the Election Committee will need to attend both the Nomination Meeting and be on lost time during the ballot casting day.
