• 11% of the City’s subsidized housing units are located in District A
• Half of District A’s renters are spending more than 30% of their monthly income on rent.
• 54% of renters in District A experience one or more of the following: spending more than 30% of their income on rent, inadequate plumbing or kitchen, or overcrowding.
• 6% of Houston’s unsheltered population was found in District A during the city’s Point in Time Count, yet District A does not have any housing available for nearly homeless individuals.
