- 55% of renters in District I experience one or more of the following: spending more than 30% of their income on rent, inadequate plumbing or kitchen, or overcrowding.
- 48% of renters spend more than 30% of their monthly income on rent.
- One-quarter of renters spend more than half of their monthly income on rent.
- 74% of District I’s housing units were built before 1980.
