Join us for Drinks and Dials as we help to get out the vote in Broward County.
Broward County leans democratic (our county commission, school board, and many cities) but we desperately need help because we tend to skip elections. Our grassroots group, Broward for Progress, is hosting a Drinks and Dials to chat about Florida elections and do a quick training of our virtual phone bank. We are focused on nudging the NPA's and naughty Dems (the ones who skipped the 2018 election). FYI if you are nervous about phone banking, don't be. Most times we just leave warm messages and follow up with a text. For first-timers we have a training and for our regulars we are hanging out and hitting the phones.
When: Tuesday thru Friday 5pm to 7pm
Here is where the rubber meets the road in Florida:
Broward has 627,522 Democrats and the number of 343, 121 NPA's (which we believe a majority lean left) for a total of 970, 643 voters
In 2018 Gillum lost Florida by 32,463 votes , Broward had 151,278 Democrats that did not vote and 112,707 NPA's that did not vote.
