Educator Impact for 2020
So much has been asked of educators this year. COVID-19 is creating chaos in our professional lives as we try to protect our families and student health.
Unfortunately, some see the crisis as a time to attack public education and educators. Already with COVID-19, we have seen budget cuts and talk of charter school expansion. Undoubtedly, anti-public education special interests are counting on educators being too distracted to push back against their agenda.
They hope to pass Constitutional Amendment (Dirty Missouri) that could prevent counting children as part of the population and charter schools expansion bills, all while cutting funding for our local schools. Educators have to push back and not allow anti-public school and anti-teacher special interests to win.
Educators must communicate and empower each other this election to preserve and protect public schools, educator rights, and student health.
