Already, hundreds of Fuyao workers like us have signed union authorization cards with the UAW like the one on the right. Why? Because we want to make positive changes at work. Because we deserve a voice in the company policies that affect our lives, and a fair contract that puts those rules in writing. Because we believe that Fuyao can be a profitable business AND provide good jobs for our community.

Signing this union card is a commitment to your co-workers that you are ready to stand with us and form our union. It’s the beginning of the process, not the end. Once you sign a card, the next step is to educate yourself about what it takes to win so that you can start talking to your co-workers and getting them involved, too. An organizer or a member of the worker-led organizing committee will get in touch with you after you sign the card to discuss next steps.

When a majority of us have signed cards choosing the UAW as our Union, we will seek official recognition through a fair process to verify our majority support so we can start negotiating a contract. This could happen through a voluntary process or through a neutral party such as the National Labor Relations Board.

Every Wednesday after your shift, workers meet to share ideas, discuss the issues at work, and plan for the future. Even if you’re still deciding whether you want to get involved, you are welcome at these meetings.
