Get Access to Model University Policies to Protect Against Donor Interference

We envision this resource serving as a reference for faculty senates who wish to propose improvements to their university’s current policies to better honor academic freedom and faculty governance, campus unions who might identify creative ways to incorporate a stance against donor influence in their bargaining agreements, and student activists who are excited to build campaigns to hold their colleges and universities accountable to ethical fundraising practices. We also hope these model solutions will open new opportunities for UnKoch and its partners to build more robust, intersectional campaigns that, in coalition with campus advocates, encourage academic institutions to improve their fundraising practices. Decisions made in academia affect each and every one of us—and any institution committed to the common good has a responsibility to the people, not donors with self-serving agendas.
