MN350 is building a climate justice movement in Minnesota in partnership with Sunrise Movement, Twin Cities Transit Riders Union, and We Vote coalition. We are taking our work to the next level by doing deep canvassing across the state.

In September, October, and November 2018, MN350 will reach target constituencies for voter pledging and voter registration using four methods:

1. Door to Door Canvassing for voter pledges in the Metro, Bemidji, and Winona

2. A Transit Riders Canvass in Metro, Minneapolis, and St. Paul

3. Site-based voter registration and pledge gathering in Bemidji, and Metro events, and

4. Online voter pledges

All of these efforts will be carried out in a strictly non-partisan, 501c3 appropriate manner. In each case, voters will be asked to sign a pledge to vote in the upcoming elections and take “climate justice”-- state policies that encourage a racially just transition to clean energy and sustainable transportation systems.

By connecting with people around a big issue on a personal level, articulating our values, and creating a sense of community, we hope to make climate justice a voting issue and bring new voters to the polls.
