Sam Coates is standing to be your MP for Cardiff East*.

Sam has a years-long track record of campaigning for people and planet. He organised protests against Cardiff University's investments in the arms trade, Tory tution fee hikes and cuts to public services. In the 2010s he was a councillor in Oxford where he campaigned to divest the pension fund from fossil fuels.

Recently, he's served as chair of ACORN Cardiff, campaigning to improve tenants rights. He is a strong supporter of Welsh independence as a route to a fair and just future for our country and people.

With Keir Starmer's Labour offering no change, it's more important than ever to have Green voices at Westminster.
