In communities across Minnesota, elected leaders are coming together and taking action to help working people live a better life.

In May 2016, Minneapolis did just that, becoming the first Midwestern city in the nation to pass an earned sick and safe time ordinance. But the American Legislative Exchange Council keeps trying to stand in the way of progress. They’re looking to pass bills at the state level that pre-empt local areas from helping people like us get ahead.
