The 4th Annual Women’s March LA is just around the corner, scheduled for Saturday, January 18th in Downtown LA and we are asking our Women’s March LA Warriors to host a sign making party.  Below are some guidelines on how to host a party, have some fun and do some good in the meantime!

Invite Guests: Invite your family, neighbors, friends via word of mouth and/or social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

What to Offer: Poster paper, assortment of markers and table covers to protect host tables.

Provide light refreshments (i.e. coffee, water, pastries, fruit or cheese platter) or host a potluck and ask your guests to bring a yummy dish!

Environment: Encourage discussion and spur conversation throughout the party.

Remind guests to be respectful of each other, as guests come from various backgrounds, including political and cultural.  Guests should also show respect to hosts.

LA City Code: Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 55.07 makes it a misdemeanor to possess during a demonstration, rally, picket line or public assembly any length of lumber, wood, or wood lath unless it is one-fourth inch or less in thickness and two inches or less in width, or if not rectangular, not more than three-quarters inch in its thickest dimension.
