Dave faced a very negative, misleading campaign from the Conservatives in October’s by-election, which focused on attacking him personally. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to reach everybody the Conservatives had spoken to so couldn’t put the record straight.

Despite that he only lost by 49 votes!
