Enter our survey to win a $100 gift card: how do you reimagine care in the AV?

The Cancel The Contract Coalition consisting of community partners in the Antelope Valley are looking to reimagine school safety and school based law enforcement in 2021.

Here's what you need to know:

  • The AV Union High School District spends more than $1.6 million a year on a contract with the Sheriff’s Department to police our schools.
  • Meanwhile, our AV schools are in disrepair and the ratio of counselors to students is 330 to 1, while the recommended ratio is 250 to 1.

We believe Antelope Valley students, teachers, and staff deserve better and that, together, we can reinvest these funds so that everyone thrives, not just LASD's pockets. Now, we are asking for your honest opinions of or experiences with police in the A.V. Schools.
