We have seen mass atrocities in detention centers and migrant camps across the country. Women being told to drink out of toilets. Children and families still being separated. Hundreds of people have swarmed to turn outrage into action after again witnessing the crisis at is happening at the border.
But we know that this pain is not isolated-- it is an everyday crisis for the immigrant community. As we live in a country where 11 million undocumented immigrants are being denied permanent protection and basic respect and dignity, we know that there nothing left to do except demand bold action.
We refuse to be complicit: we are demanding immediate permanent protection for all 11 million undocumented immigrants, an immediate stop to the deportations and detention of our families and community, and holding politicians accountable to the damage done.
