If you are excited about the American Hope Act, read this

Hey there! My name is Adrian Reyna and I am undocumented.

If you're like me, I know that you are feeling all excited. We've just seen elected officials come out with possible bills to protect undocumented youth. That's why I'm inviting you to join us - because this is your home.

I remember the first day I learned about the Dream Act. I was 18 in 2009, in Austin, TX feeling hopeless and confused about my immigration status.  I couldn't get a job, I was having a hard time paying for school, it was tough coming up with ways to navigate the world around me.

I remember feeling so hopeful and energized when I learned about the Dream Act going through Congress. I immediately joined the University Leadership Initiative, an affiliate of United We Dream, to get it done. At ULI, I made a new family of people who wanted the same thing I wanted: to live a life of dignity and respect for me and my parents.

In 2010, the Dream Act failed to pass the Senate. We had organized so much to get it to a vote. And it failed. I cried a lot that night, having to tell my parents that we were back to square one.

But we didn't give up. We continued to work together - hundreds of people like you and me - got on conference calls, did actions, ran campaigns, shared our stories, until one day we won DACA in June 15th 2012.

And that victory was so precious, I still remember knowing my life was about to change.

We've gone through hard uncertain times. I've felt that. But I also know that I've shared mighty wins with my United We Dream family.

And I want to invite you to join us. If you are feeling hopeful today; if you are feeling fired up and feeling like we can win, I invite you to join more than 300,000 people - largest family of immigrants and allies in the country fighting to protect ALL of us.

If you believe that we can win, this is your home!

Sign up now, and we'll be in touch with you to let you know how we will win!
