DJC x UMAW Instruments Into Prisons

Die Jim Crow Records (DJC) and the Union of Musicians and Allied Workers (UMAW) are teaming up for a gear drive to support incarcerated musicians!

So far, we have requests for microphones, midi cables, keyboards, a drum kit, an alto saxophone, guitars (acoustic/electric), 4- to 8-track recorders, and teenage engineering pocket samplers for musicians located at Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, Allendale Correctional Facility, and San Quentin State Prison. However, any donation of gear for music production and performance will be utilized by these musicians. Once this intake form is completed, we will reach out to you about whether or not we can intake your gear and next steps.

Monetary donations can also be made to support the shipping of donated gear and the purchase of additional gear. If you cannot donate gear but would like to make a monetary donation, payments can be made here: https://bit.ly/3sscXVt.

No goods or services are guaranteed in return for this gift. If you have any questions or need more information, you may contact geardrive@googlegroups.com or t.jamison@diejimcrow.com, or visit our gear drive webpage diejimcrow.com/instruments-into-prisons.

Thank you for your support!
