Iowans Demand Quality, Affordable Health care

Everyone should have access to quality, affordable health care. But Iowans’ health care has been going in the wrong direction.

As governor, Kim Reynolds, approved legislation to allow insurance companies to discriminate against us if we have pre-existing conditions. She supported privatizing Medicaid, which has reduced benefits, forced medical facilities to close and threatened access to care for 600,000 Iowans who rely on the program.

This year, Kim Reynolds and our state’s legislature slashed more than $35 million from programs that working families rely on—all while cutting income taxes for the wealthiest in our state.

Iowa families deserve high quality health care, not Medicaid privatization, cuts and discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions. Sign the petition to tell our our elected leaders that all Iowans deserve access to quality, affordable health care.
