Is your voice helping students?

Share what’s happening in your community

With passage of The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) the decision-making about our public schools returns to you—local educators, families, and communities leaders. You know what your students need, and who should be at the table.

These decisions will be made with or without educator input, but the best decisions happen with the input of those who know students’ names. So it’s vitally important that educators’ voices are heard.

We need to know what’s working. We want your input on the following:

  • How are you and your colleagues driving decisions at your school about teaching and learning?
  • Are you leading community discussions?
  • How have you been consulted or engaged?
  • Are local policymakers refusing to engage with educators, leading you to work with fellow educators and parents to demand change?

We want to share best practices, celebrate successes and encourage others to not miss this huge opportunity to help make great public schools for every student a reality.
