In the last three months, there have been multiple resolutions introduced to alter democracy as we know it here in Ohio. On Wednesday, May 10th, the first part of that plan succeeded, as the Ohio House of Representatives passed Senate Joint Resolution 2, 67 yes-32 No, with all the House Democrats and three Republicans voting against the resolution. This resolution seeks to change the way citizen-driven ballot initiatives are able to amend the Constitution, by requiring them to get at least 60% of a supermajority to pass constitutional amendments. This amendment shreds our Constitution, ending majority rule in Ohio and taking away our right to decide what happens here.

This issue is bigger than party lines, it is an attack on our democracy in Ohio as we know it and we need your help.
