Our mission is to provide outreach and opportunity for the civic engagement of historically suppressed populations in Southside Virginia. We are a coalition of multiple locales that supports the mission of the Center for Common Ground, and we support building a democracy that prioritizes the voices of ALL people.

We are committed to meeting people where they are, creating space for all people to be seen and heard, and creating a platform where issues important to the community can be brought forward, considered, and put on a path to be addressed. Part of helping our community find their voice and their power is by educating our community about the political process so that they will be able to hold those who hold political power accountable. We want our community to engage in our governing to start the process of empowerment and make an impact.
