Why 28 Days?

In just 28 days, we can crush the pandemic and save thousands of lives!

28 days is two incubation cycles of the virus. If we can minimize transmission for that length of time, we can stamp out COVID-19 or at least greatly reduce its spread. And every household has the potential to save lives! Why Now?

With COVID-19 surging across the country and a government solution many months and thousands of lives away, Masks For America is calling on each of us to take matters into our own hands. Together, we can harness the power of music, art, and teamwork to get back to COVID basics for 28 days (two incubation cycles of the virus) and flatten the curve in our community!

More About Masks For America

Masks For America is a volunteer-run nonprofit that launched in March 2020, providing donor-funded PPE to frontline workers and communities. We prioritize the most vulnerable populations, including Black and brown and Indigenous communities, people with disabilities, LGBTQ folx, and the elderly.

Thanks to thousands of small-dollar donors, we have distributed over 750,000 3M N95s, FDA-certified KN95s, 3-ply surgical masks and other PPE to 250+ communities in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Tribal Nations.
