The Housing Justice Commission is a national project of the Democratic Socialists of America. We coordinate national and local organizing to build tenant power and support local DSA chapters starting and expanding their tenant organizing projects. We have three projects right now, the Emergency Tenant Organizing Committee (or ETOC) that helps people start tenant unions in their cities, the ETOC Tenant Autonomy Study Group which is a monthly meeting to discuss texts, podcasts, or other media focused around tenant power and tenant organizing, and a Spanish practice session to help tenant organizers better connect with the people they’re organizing with.
