The Housing Justice Commission is a national project of the Democratic Socialists of America. We work to build tenant power nationwide and support local DSA chapters in starting or expanding their tenant organizing projects. HJC members can support the work of our Committee by participating in the following initiatives:

1. The Emergency Tenant Organizing Committee (or ETOC), which trains and mentors prospective tenant organizers starting their own tenant unions.

2. The Policy Committee, which focuses on political education around housing issues and promoting our 4 Principles of Social Housing.

3. The Spanish/English Language Exchange, which provides a space for English and Spanish-speaking organizers in North and South America to learn each other's language.

4. The Communications Committee, which promotes the work of HJC and tenant unions around the country via our Instagram page.
