After the UAW's successful and historic strike at the "Big Three," UAW President Shawn Fain called on unions to align our contracts and prepare to strike together on May 1, 2028.

In response, union activists in Seven Mountains AFL-CIO, Troy Area Labor Council, North Alabama Central Labor Council, and more, passed resolutions encouraging affiliates to meet UAW's call, and committing to build a strike-ready movement prepared to support local unions fighting for economic justice.
