Launch an #OurKidsCantWait Action Team in Your District!

Our kids can't wait. Neither can we.

We can't allow even one more of our colleagues to leave for a less stressful job at a local retailer or to retire prematurely -- but we can stand up together to demand sustainable working and learning conditions.

Together we can make a difference.

You can't run a school with just one person - and you can't win the resources our schools need all by yourself. In order to win the resources and respect our schools deserve, we’re asking NCAE members to make a plan to build a team in order to connect with support from NCAE staff.

Here's how.

Read the descriptions below, then fill out the form to let us know which kind of commitment you're ready to make to the Kids Can't Wait campaign. Once you’re ready, we’ll be back in touch to offer resources to support your campaign. Make sure to complete information about your district and worksite, so we can help make connections and support networks to grow from this work!

In order to win resources and respect for myself and my students, I am:

Getting ReadyI’m working on getting another 2-5 of my coworkers to agree to help me launch an Our Kids Can’t Wait Campaign in our district. I’ll submit this form again when we have a team ready to make a plan!
Ready I have a team of 2-5 people who have discussed this campaign, and have agreed to:
- Engage at least 20% of the staff in at least three of our buildings in a survey, petition or 1-1 conversations by January 10
- Create a plan to engage even more of our coworkers over the next six months to win Raises, Bonuses & Respect
- Each of us is willing to dedicate at least 2 hours per week to learning about our county’s local budget process, having 1-1 conversations with our coworkers, planning demonstrations and other steps to achieve our goals

Not SureI want to help out, but I am not sure if I can build a team!
