Loss and Damage Action Day 2022

On the 22nd of September, scores of civil society are coming together to demand the UK government stand up to fossil fuel corporations, and declare support for the communities most impacted by the climate crisis. Join us!

In the past year,  whilst millions of people suffered from extreme weather events and soaring energy bills, just five oil and gas companies made 80 billion in profits. They profit and we all pay.

Whilst nobody is immune from the impacts of the climate crisis, it’s the communities least responsible who are bearing the brunt. From the sweeping floods in Bangladesh and South Africa to the blistering heatwaves in Pakistan and India - millions have been pushed past breaking point with no means to recover.

That’s why we’re demanding the government declare UK support for an international loss and damage fund to #PayUp4LossAndDamage!

There’s so many different ways you can take action with us, whether it’s attending an in-person demonstration or simply sending a tweet to your MP - there’s something for everyone!
