This summer, people across the country rose up to demand justice and declare that Black Lives Matter. Today we must commit to take action to make this country a place where democracy is real for everyone.

Incarcerated people, their family members and other marginalized groups have too much to lose for us to not prepare to make sure that every vote is counted. Our collective freedom struggle depends on it.  We won’t let elected officials cheat their way through an election, and we won’t let our people be disenfranchised by those who want to usurp democracy.

We have the power to build a country where the will of the people is the law of land. In order to break through the fear and isolation of these times, we choose to walk in the legacy of people who demanded that our voices, our freedom, and our votes count.

We are asking you to pledge today to take part in mass, nonviolent action in the event of a stolen election.

Our Pledge:

If elected officials try to appoint the state’s electors in defiance of the popular vote, we pledge to participate in mass, non-violent direct action.  

If white supremacist activists try to block election officials from counting mail in ballots, we pledge to participate in mass, non-violent direct action.

If we see ANY dirty tricks or attempts at mass intimidation of voters, we pledge to participate in mass, non-violent direct action.

After you sign the pledge, we will sign you up on our rapid response network and coordinate mass actions with our movement partners in defense of democracy and pursuit of liberation. In the event that we need to mobilize we will text you with information on mobilizations and ways you can take action to stop the election from being stolen.
