Mid-South Construction Careers - Application
Mid-South Construction Careers is a three week Apprenticeship Readiness Program. Upon completion you will be ready to apply for union construction apprenticeship programs, which are a doorway to a lifelong career.
Mid-South Construction Careers Apprenticeship Readiness Program will familiarize you with 18 different construction trades, from Ironwork and Electrical to Carpentry, Plumbing, Sheetmetal and Insulation. You will graduate with an OSHA-10 and CPR certification, and the knowledge you need to be admitted into the apprenticeship program of your choice.
A union apprenticeship program, which follows the Mid-South Construction Careers Apprenticeship Readiness Program, is an earn-while-you-learn program. After being admitted into an apprenticeship program, you will work full time, and attend twice-weekly classes. You will receive living wages, health insurance and a pension. Apprenticeships last 3-5 years. Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will become a journeyman, with increased pay and the ability to travel for jobs, if you desire. Your union membership and apprenticeship completion is a gold-standard certification of your skill, recognized by union employers across the country.
To be accepted into Mid-South Construction Careers Apprenticeship Readiness Program you must be at least 17 years old and pass a drug/toxicology screen.
