National Assembly Text Recruitment System Volunteer Signup

As Trump prepares to take office, many in the immigrant community are fearful of what’s to come. In this moment, our community needs to come together - to feel our collective power, resiliency, and spirit.

This February, Cosecha is hosting a National Assembly to bring together leaders from all over the country to Boston to be in community and inspire each other to lead the Year of Migrant Resistance. The National Assembly is the beginning of bringing the Cosecha story and campaigns across the country-- to reach thousands, if not millions-- of people throughout the year.

But we need your help to reach out these leaders so they know about the assembly and can make their plans to get to Boston. We are looking for 30-40 volunteers to take on volunteer shifts with our peer-to-peer texting system.

We are asking volunteers to commit to the following:

  1. Join one CosechaText training for an hour any day next week at 12 pm ET, 6 pm ET, or 9 pm ET to learn how to use the peer-to-peer texting system.
  2. Plan to spend 2-3 hours over the course of 3 days from January 20th to January 22rd having personal conversations using the computer-based texting system with people who have taken action in the past with Cosecha

Sign up here and let us know you are in and which training you plan to attend! You will get a confirmation email with the call in info after your sign up.

If you are interested, but not sure if you can meet this commitment or if the 20th to the 23rd won’t work for you, sign up anyway! We’d love to build teams and have people ready for the next round!

As we’ve learned from the organizers of the Bernie campaign, “the revolution will not be staffed”. Cosecha truly believes this and I am personally so inspired by you, and people like you, who dedicate so much time to our movement. Let’s do this!
