Continue to Build a Progressive, democratic, Democratic Party!

ORMA had an active presence at the MA Democratic State Convention on Sept. 23, engaging hundreds of delegates in conversations about issues that matter, and collecting signatures on resolutions to be voted on by delegates. (You can view our resolutions here.) Our goal was to make this an "Action Convention" as promised by leadership of the party.

But the structure of the event (as set by the Rules Committee of the Democratic State Committee) practically guaranteed that our issues would not be brought to the floor.

We haven’t giving up! In November, we brought our resolutions to the State Committee directly successfully passing 4 of 7. But our efforts to initiate a discussion about internal party democracy fell on deaf ears.

We will continue to organize to strengthen the progressive democratic voice in local Democratic party committees, and in the state committee, and we need your help to make this happen. If you are ready to help us do the work, fill out the form on this page! If you just want to stay informed, fill out the form on this page! If you aren't able to participate, then please consider making a donation to help defray our expenses. Our activities at the Convention cost nearly $2,000 (access to the list of delegates and printing costs for resolutions that were never considered.)
